China’s Cyber Threat A High-Stakes Spy Game


Web security experts and analysts have reported that Cyber attacks on firms are part of a vague campaign in cyberspace being payed by China and other countries which goes largely undetected. James Lewis, who directs the technology program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said that “Chinese have been plugging steadily along at building up their technological capacities.”

Motorola Releases Slightly Thicker Droid Razr-like Phone for China


Motorola has launched its MT917 smartphone that operate on the network of China Mobile. The new model is based on the design of Motorola’s Droid Razr. The MT917 is 8.5 millimeters thick and has a 13 Megapixel camera. It works on China Mobile’s 3G network, which uses a standard called TD-SCDMA. The phone is set to go on sale in mid December in China.

Security Report Warns of Cyberspying by China, Russia


The Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive reported that the U.S can expect more cyber attacks from China, Russia and other countries to gather crucial information of the companies include  pharmaceuticals, defense and manufacturing. The report also added that how companies can strengthen their defenses. Cyber criminals targeted sensitive information on smartphones and laptops.

U.S. China Satellite Hacking Report Published


A Congressional advisory panel advising lawmakers on U.S.-China relations was published the final copy of U.S China Satellite Hacking report online Wednesday. The report contains a new judgment of the “malicious cyber activities” and released by 12 experts panel experienced in government, industry and academia, the U.S-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

Lulzsec hacker: ‘we still have Sun emails, stored in China’


Lulzsec hacker crew leader Sabu has claimed that he still has the documents and emails copied from, “The Sun.” The hacker also claimed on Twitter that he has lot of other information regarding number of other hack attacks, which are stored on a Chinese Server. The hacker is on run after number of people from U.S and U.K are arrested by Federal Agencies, for attacking the Sony, fox.com, PBS and News International sites by Anonymous and Lulzsec Hacking groups.

Lawmaker calls for international pressure to stop China’s cyber-espionage


The U.S law makers and House Intelligence Committee want to implement strict cyber laws and actions against China. The chairman of House Intelligence has said that China’s cyber espionage campaign has reached an intolerable level and serious action has to be taken to put an end to this cyber attacks. The Chinese government has denied the allegations about attacks and hacks on American networks to steal the intellectual property.

China denies role in hack of Japanese defense contractor


China has denied the role in hacking of the Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries network. The Mitsubishi heavy industries network was hacked and data from their computer was stolen in the hack. The Japanese security officials have suspected that the attack was originated from China and it is involved in the hacking. The Chinese Government Spokesperson has dismissed the allegations and China role in the attack.

China says to get tougher in fight against computer hacking


China’s Supreme Court is toughening the laws and penalties on hackers and cyber criminals. The government has taken action after their networks are continuously targeted and distorted. The ministry also estimates that eight out of 10 internet-connected computers are controlled by hackers. The new cyber laws will be implemented from 1st September.

China denies role in Canada government hack


Chinese government is firmly opposed to hacking and other criminal acts. Chinese government is denying any involvement in a reported cyber-attack on the Canadian government, which was ultimately traced to a Chinese server, foreign Ministry Spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said. He said China is also a victim of computer hacking. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) reported that authorities were forced to shut down Internet access to thousands of workers in the Canadian government’s Finance Department and Treasury Board, after attackers “posing as the federal executives, sent e-mails to departmental technical staffers.
