SonicWALL launches Mobile Connect app for iOS

SonicWALL has launched its Mobile Connect Application that enables secure remote access and connectivity from Apple devices which include iPad and iPhone. The Application provides users “VPN on Demand” and encrypts traffic whenever users try to access protected internal resources. Mobile Connect users communicate through a SonicWALL firewall.

STEC announces high-endurance SSD

Solid-state drive technologies and products specialist STEC announced that its ZeusIOPS SSD family has been expanded to include an ultra-high-endurance model. The company’s ZeusIOPS XE (Extreme Endurance) SSD is a Multi-Level Cell (MLC) flash-based drive that uses STEC’s CellCare technology to enable at least 30 full-capacity writes per day for five years.

JetBrains Releases PhpStorm 3.0

JetBrains has launched Phpstorm 3.0 for software developers. JetBrains officials said phpstorm 3.0 is a Smart Duplicated Code Detector to help developers quickly find similar blocks through their entire code base. Apple releases iOS 5.1 beta to registered developers

Apple has released  iOS 5.1 beta for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, which developers can download from the Apple developer portal. The new version represents the first significant update to iOS 5 . iOS 5.1 includes better dictation support for third-party apps and it would bring extra features to Siri in the form of hardware controls, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios through the iPhone 4S voice assistant.

ARM Launches Free Toolkit for Android Application Developer Community

ARM has launched its Development Studio 5 Community Edition(CE), a free software development toolkit for Android application. The application is used to create native software for compute intensive tasks that can run up to 4 times faster than Java code. SharkScope Releases Mobile Apps for iPhone and Android

Sharkscope has launched mobile phone versions of its software for the iPhone and Android. The new applications named iScope and aScope provide direct connections to the normal Sharkscope service. The iScope app is available at the iTunes store for $4.99 and some of the connectivity problems were fixed in the latest version. The aScope application is exclusively used for Android mobile phones.

Adobe to release one more version of Flash Player for mobile web

Adobe will launch one more version of the Flash Player for mobile browsing that provide support for Android 4.0.  Adobe spokesman said that “One more release of the Flash Linux Porting Kit is expected to be released before the end of this year.” Adobe said it stop developing Flash players for mobile devices following its next release.
